For your Newborn Session
When is the best age to photograph newborns?
All of my newborn sessions take place during the first 21 day after birth. Once the baby arrives, I ask that you let me know within 72 hours so we can get a date on the calendar asap!
Does the session include family/sibling pictures? What about dogs?
YES! While we absolutely take solo images of your babe, I love to concentrate on the connection between the new family! We will do all sorts of combinations :) As far as your furry friends, I unfortunately do not allow dogs in the studio at this time (for allergy reasons.) If you choose to do an in-home session, of course we will include your pup!
How long do sessions last?
Newborn sessions take about 2 hours, but sometimes longer depending on the baby! We take our time for newborn sessions, take breaks as needed, and go with the flow of the baby. They run the show!
What should I have prepared to bring to the studio for the session?
If there is something special that you’d like to have photographed with your baby (a special blanket, toy, bonnet, etc) bring that along…but otherwise no need to bring any other props or clothing. All other props, materials, wraps, etc are at the studio already. Just the babe, and yourselves! :)
Do you offer a client wardrobe?
Sure do! I have created a client closet for mom’s and mom’s to be as the wardrobe you choose to wear for the session is so important for the images that we will create! I have about 50+ dresses in an assortment of sizes that are available for each of my sessions for mama’s (and mama-to-be’s!) All dresses are carefully picked to work well with the lighting, and style of my photography that you see on my portfolio. I do also have a few options for boys & girls under 4 years old. What if I want to wear my own clothes?
Absolutely! The client wardrobe is a perk, but not mandatory. The MOST important thing is that you love what you’re wearing and feel comfortable.
Where and when do the sessions take place? Can you travel to my home?
Newborn sessions take place in my natural light studio located in Uptown Hoboken, New Jersey Click here for the address
Newborn sessions generally take place on weekday mornings, starting at 10 am.

For an additional fee, I do offer in-home newborn sessions. These will be shot at the convenience of your own home, during the morning hours, or the time that your home gets the best natural light (as I do not use any artificial light for my images) Note: In-home sessions will be rescheduled on dark, gloomy days.

Why is there an in-home fee?
My studio is designed, and picked to be a perfect location to photograph your newborn. While I LOVE an in-home session, and love how comfortable families are in their own space - there is a lot of time + effort that will go into preparing to shoot there! Not only will I be bringing along all the things we need, but I will have to take extra time once arriving to find the best space and best light to make your images the best they can be! In-home sessions will also take longer, for this reason.
Is there parking available at the studio?
There is only street parking, but usually always available! If you cannot find street parking, there is a parking garage connected to Trader Joe’s which is a 5 minute walk.
When will we get to see our pictures from a session?
Your 45+ edited, watermarked images from your session will be presented in a private online gallery approximately 3 weeks after your session date. They will be ready for viewing and purchasing of a collection. You can choose which digital collection you want after seeing your gallery.
Can we purchase print products?
Yes! After purchasing digital images, you’ll have the option to purchase prints through my trusted photo lab (You will be able to print the images you have purchased.) I highly recommend this as the colors are consistent, and quality is flawless. You can see and compare examples during your session. If you’d like to print on your own, I can offer suggestions to some of the better consumer labs!
Do you offer any packages or discounts?
Yes! I offer a membership program which will cover 3 shoots, over the course of 18 months. While I allow this to be any three types of images, the most popular are Maternity, Newborn & Sitter/1 Year Milestone Session!
